Thanks for supporting ALS Research!
Neurodegenerative diseases result in progressive damage to specific cells and connections in the brain and spinal cord, and they exact an incalculable toll on patients, as well as their families and caregivers. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a devastating neurodegenerative disease that gradually robs people of their ability to walk, talk, move, swallow, and even to breathe on their own. The disease affects motor neurons in the brain and spinal cord that control voluntary muscle movements, with most people dying within 3-5 years of symptom onset.
Brad’s mother-in-law, Karen, was diagnosed with ALS in January of 2023 and has a short 18 months as the disease progressed rapidly through her body. We are saddened to say Karen lost her battle with ALS in July 2024. We appreciate the support and donations to the research fund.
Thank you for choosing to participate in our second annual bitfreighter golf tournament. This tournament has become much bigger than bitfreighter, our effort to create ALS Awarness and raise a little money for ALS Research has been embraced by the logistics community. We are so grateful for the donations and the support as we create ALS awareness through the event and the Ice Bucket Challenge. From our entire Bitfreighter team, Karen and our family thank you for supporting ALS Research.
